Table Linens and My First Quilting Project

Table linens for a wedding giftI just finished a set of table linens for a wedding gift.

Set f 6 dinner napkinsThere’s a set of 6 dinner napkins (18 inch size).

Bread basket and bun warmerThere’s a bread basket with a bun warmer (like a bean bag you pop into the microwave for a minute, then place in the bottom of the bread basket before you fill it with rolls).

Bread basket linerThere’s a 20 inch liner for the bread basket.

My first quilting! And my favourite part — a small quilted table runner!  I thought I’d try this with the left over fabric bits and some of the solids from my stash just to see if I could do it.  Kind of figured that maybe it would be less daunting than the bed quilt I’d started and still have to finish.  And it was!

Back of the table runnerI’m very pleased with how it turned out!  I’m not sure my methods are perfect and I know my quilting lines could use just a bit of practice but it turned out well.

Detail of frontDetail of backJust trying to decide if I should stitch the couple’s names and their wedding date onto the back?  I have a little time to decide so we’ll see…
