Sewing For Me: Washi Tunic Day Two

I really wanted to be finished this (hopefully wearable) muslin of the Washi tunic by now but sometimes life just has a way of getting in the way.  Also, I was totally kicking butt playing Cars 2 racing games on the XBox.  (*Ahem.*)

Laying out the piecesAfter ironing wrinkles out of the fabric that’s been waiting to be used since I washed it about 5 or 6 months ago, I managed to get all my pieces pinned and cut.  I don’t know where this fabric came from anymore.  I just liked it when I bought it and it was probably on sale or in a clearance bin…  I’m making the sleeveless version of the tunic this time around because it is just a muslin so that saved time with the number of pieces to cut out.  But I can’t wait to try this with the additional sleeve pattern Rae drafted.  I love the look of an elbow-length sleeve!A nice little pile of pieces to assemble

Next up, transferring the markings.  And maybe I’ll get to the sewing part before the weekend!
