We missed the Illusionist so we’ll be trying to head back this week to catch the act and to see the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. We did have a chance to check out all our favourite exhibits (at least, the ones that aren’t under construction to become something new!) as well as the optical illusions scavenger hunt, the Curator’s Corner where we saw historical medical devices (such as an amputation saw!), and a hands-on display of tricks of the eye.
I think, though, that the highlight of the trip was the face painting! The woman (artist!) who was working on the kids’ faces was so fast and really very talented. She even agreed to make Noah’s lion a lion with sparkles! Yep, she made an instant fan out of that boy. She was great with the kids and even managed to paint Levi into a mini-Iron Man before he squirmed away! The kidlets certainly got lots of smiles and comments when we stopped to buy milk on the way home! 🙂
