Summer 2012 Camping Weekend #2

We got home yesterday from our second weekend of camping — this time we went with friends to a place called Logos Land Resort.  It’s not far (only a little more than an hour’s drive) and friends invited us to join their family.  We got two sites that were connected so the adults could easily hang out after the kidlets had all been sent to bed.

The campground was nice.  There was a small water park (but our kids were too small to really get much out of that) and a really nice little beach.

There were several playground structures and a small petting zoo.And LOTS of sand at our campsite.  Let me tell you, that is a blessing when you’re trying to get things set up, packed up, or cooked for dinner.  The kidlets were easy to keep busy this way!  But it’s also a bit of a curse when it comes time to cleaning up before bed or getting rid of all that sand from clothing, shoes, and equipment when you go home.

The kids immediately set to digging when we arrived.  And by the time we packed up this is the accomplishment they were all giggling about:We had a great time catching up with our friends who we don’t see often and the kidlets all had a great time playing.  Levi came home copying our friends’ little guy who is just a little older than him.  Their little guy is a real ham and Levi must have liked some of his “routines” because he’s been copying them since we got home.

Overall, a good weekend.
