Planning Some Sewing Lessons

I’ve been mapping out some lessons on hand sewing I plan on covering with the kidlets this summer.  We’ll be learning and practicing some basic stitches and creating some fun projects.  I’m most looking forward to the last lesson when we’ll be re-reading Robert Munsch’s Good Families Don’t and sewing a “fart.”  Early in May we’d read this book (again) and Noah spent a day begging and arguing, trying to convince me to sew him a fart.  Yes, this is as weird as it sounds!  If you haven’t read the book yet and don’t have a clue what I’m talking about here, get yourself to the library and check out that book now!  🙂

I’m really looking forward to doing these lessons with the kidlets.  And more importantly, they’re very excited to learn!  Anyone else looking for ways to introduce sewing to their kidlets?
