Birthday “Season” Has Begun

The typical birthday season at our house has just begun and won’t end until the end of summer.  We’ve been celebrating a little boy who is all about adventures and exploring and really just DOING stuff.  When we asked what he wanted for his birthday we got an unexpected answer:  “A real microphone.  … (pause) …  And a rope!”  What???  Well, as it turns out, after asking him over and over and always getting the same answer he finally let on about what the rope was for:  climbing trees.  Of course!  So practical!  😉

We opened presents before breakfast, enjoyed the sunshine playing at the park, and a big turkey dinner.  What?  Doesn’t that sound like typical birthday food for a kid??

Happy Birthday Noah!!!! Sounds like you guys had a great day – how wonderful! And I totally love that turkey was the dinner of choice. Awesome! Did he get his rope and his microphone though??? SO FUNNY!

No rope, but a play microphone from the dollar store. And the turkey dinner actually started as a request for corn and peas — I insisted we needed to have something with them.
