Silly Wraps

I started making these for the kidlets to eat when we were travelling.  When we do a road trip as a family, we really do a road trip — think 3 weeks on the road, travelling from one city to another, camping overnight, exploring new places…  This was an easy lunch to make for the kids to take in the car.

All you have to do is spread peanut butter on a flat bread (we usually use whole wheat tortillas), peel a banana, and wrap it all up.  You can also add a teaspoon of jam or fruit spread (that’s what we use — less sugar, more fruit) alongside the banana before wrapping.  You can also switch it up for breakfast by spreading yogurt on the tortilla, sprinkling on some granola, and adding fresh blueberries, raspberries, banana, or sliced strawberries before wrapping it all up.
