Because I intend to home school basically year round with the kidlets, I’ve decided to make our Fridays more of fun days. These are the days we’re more likely to have field trips with other home schoolers, be heading out of town, or wanting to take a break anyway. So we do art classes and fun science experiments.
This Friday, we kicked off the art classes with a lesson on basic colours and shapes. We covered primary colours and created some abstract art of our own. Take a look:
We also found this neat little blossoming “magic tree” kit at the dollar store. Not sure about the science behind it because, as I said, it came from the dollar store, but it was a lot of fun to “grow” for the day.
